MIRROR / MIRROR

In our image-obsessed age, we’re under relentless pressure to subscribe to normative standards of beauty. Through concealment and conformity, we make ourselves up in the reflection of what society finds attractive.

Join artist and activist Lidia Lidia for a special life drawing event as part of the V&A's Friday Late: Mirror Mirror. Using their objectified bodies and hypersexualised props, Lidia and model Christopher Raymond will create poses that play with stereotypical ideas of beauty and gender. Hosted by artist and tutor Leo Crane. Materials provided, no experience necessary.
