Reveal your identity and heritage in a self-portrait on our online course
Self-portraits reveal something about the artist beyond a likeness. Artist Leo Crane will encourage you to find a context for your own self-portrait, drawing on the rich collections of the British Library. By using paper collage and drawing, you can incorporate text, maps, inspirational figures or social history into an image of yourself, revealing something of your identity or heritage.
This course takes place on Zoom and we will email you a joining link the day before. There will be an opportunity to ask the tutor questions during a Q&A, and have conversations with your fellow participants in virtual breakout rooms.
Please note: materials are not provided. We’ve designed the course to make use of items which you may already have at home.
Purchase tickets at £20/£16 directly from the British Library.
