A free exhibition of original work by Anudarani.
“I’m fascinated by the human body and the beauty each individual holds. Life drawing is meditation for me, a chance to hone in on my craft whilst admiring the vast beauty and abilities of the human body and being able to capture it in the short moments I have with the models.'“
Anudarani is a Tamil artist based in London. She was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship, graduated from the University of the Arts, London in 2018 with a Masters in Fine Art. Since graduating, Anudarani has been a curator at RISE gallery and exhibited around London.
This exhibition is a collection of Anudarani’s works based on movement. Most of the images captured were drawn within one to three-minute cycles with ‘Still’ being the longest of these at three minutes and the others all captured from poses of one minute or less. ‘Symphony’ and ‘Dancing, Strokes & You’ are the exceptions, both produced in one session following the subject in constant movement for ten to twenty minutes.
As well as perfecting her skills in life drawing, Anudarani is currently working on her ‘self love’ workshop for budding artists, which she hopes to launch this year. She also dedicates time volunteering at SMart, a London-based charity that promotes social inclusion through art and workshops for the socially-marginalised.
Anudarani and her work have been featured in the Croydonist, and in addition to this her latest exhibition, she will have upcoming work featured at The Courtauld institute, Somerset House.
All sales proceeds support the artist and Figuration, a community-centred social enterprise in South London.
